Quick answers to the most common questions about Hyperspotters. Can't find what you need? Get in touch.
Hyperspotters is a real-time local discovery platform built around the idea of "Know Before You Go." We put live, map-based information at your fingertips—from how long a line is right now to what's happening at a venue or event. Instead of static reviews, you get up-to-the-moment insights so you can decide where to go with confidence.
Everything starts on the map. Contributors share real-time updates (e.g., wait times, vibe, events) tied to specific places. You browse by location, see what's happening now, and can contribute your own observations. The more you contribute, the more you level up and earn badges and standing on the leaderboard.
You can explore public content without an account. To post updates, earn points, appear on the leaderboard, or unlock badges, you'll need to sign up. Registration is free and quick.
Open the map, select your spot, and use "Start Chat" or "Start Thread" on the place view. If prompted, sign in first. You can then post your question or topic and others can reply in real time.
Open your spot and click "Share." You can copy the link, use the system share sheet, or share via the available options so others can open the same place directly.
A live report is a short real-time update about current conditions at a spot (for example: busy, crowded, closed, special, or hazard). Reports are time-sensitive and expire automatically to keep information fresh.
Use the sign-in or register option (usually in the header or auth flow). You can sign up with email or, where available, through supported providers (e.g., Google). Follow the prompts to set your username and complete registration.
Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page. Enter the email associated with your account and we'll send you instructions to reset your password. Check spam if you don't see the email.
Go to your profile (e.g., via the leaderboard or your profile link). From there you can update your display name, username (if allowed), and other profile settings. Some changes may be limited to protect your history and reputation.
The leaderboard ranks contributors by total points. Points are earned by posting helpful, real-time updates and engaging with the community. Climb the ranks to earn tiers (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) and visibility as a trusted local guide.
You earn points by contributing—posting updates, starting or replying to threads, and other qualifying actions. The exact values are shown in-app and on the Badges page. Consistency and quality both matter.
Badges recognize milestones and achievements: first post, streaks, number of contributions, and community standing. Check the Badges (or Legendary Journey) page for the full list and requirements. New badges can be added over time.
Tiers reflect your total points and rank you among other contributors. Reaching higher tiers gives you more visibility and status. Requirements are based on point thresholds; you can see your current tier and next goal on your profile and the leaderboard.
Use your Profile, Leaderboard, and Badges pages. Your profile shows current level and progress to the next rank, the leaderboard shows your position, and the badges page shows earned and upcoming achievements.
We may send notifications for things like replies to your posts, new activity in threads you follow, or important account or product updates. You can manage what you receive in your account or notifications settings.
Visit the Notifications page (linked from the app header or your profile/settings). There you can choose which types of notifications you get (e.g., email, in-app) and opt out of ones you don't want.
Yes. Browsing the map, creating an account, contributing, and using the leaderboard and badges are free for community members.
The Pricing page is for business owners and venues. It offers plans to claim a venue, manage presence, and engage with searchers. If you're a venue or brand, see the Pricing page for options; consumer use remains free.
If you have a business/venue subscription, manage or cancel it through your account billing settings or the link in your subscription confirmation email. Refunds are subject to our Terms of Service and any plan-specific terms.
Find your venue on the map, open its page, and click "Claim" or "Claim This Place." Submit your role and proof of affiliation, then complete verification. Once approved (and payment is completed for paid plans), your spot is assigned to your account.
Go to your claimed spot page and open the Events section, then choose "Post Event." Fill in title, dates, time, and description, then publish. Your event will appear on that spot for visitors.
Open the Dashboard and select your venue in the Analytics tab. You can review metrics like pin clicks, page views, thread activity, live reports, shares, and recent trends.
In the Dashboard, open the Auto-Answers tab and create a new auto-answer with a topic, keywords, and reply text. Once active, eligible new threads/comments can receive automatic responses from your venue account.
Pricing depends on the selected business plan. Visit the Pricing page to compare monthly or annual options, included features, and current rates for claiming and managing your spot.
